ECA: Michele Centenaro joins the executive board, Charlie Marshall appointed CEO

Outgoing general secretary of the ECA, Michele Centenaro (ITA) has been unanimously appointed to occupy the new position of independent executive board member of the European Club Association, announced the ECA on 09/04/2020.

"In addition, the position of general secretary will be replaced by that of chief executive officer (CEO). The CEO will be charged with heading a revamped ECA administration and leading the ECA's day-to-day operations. This role will be taken up by Charlie Marshall who joined ECA in October 2018 as managing director," added the bodychaired by Andrea Agnelli, who is also president of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM).

"My role will be to guide ECA's team to continue placing clubs at the heart of football during and after these challenging times, where we need above all to preserve all that is great about our game and build something even stronger for the future," explained Charlie Marshall.
