K League (South Korea): 3.4 million viewers on Twitter and 234,000 on YouTube for the opening match

The first match of the 2020 Hana1Q K League season, the South Korean football championship, post Covid-19, between Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Suwon Samsung Bluewings (1-0), drew a cumulative 3.4 million viewers via Twitter and 234,000 via YouTube on 08/05/2020 (kick-off at 19:00 local time).

The opening match was broadcast exceptionally worldwide via YouTube and Twitter. "17 countries and 12 channels around world have confirmed live broadcasting and streaming of K League matches, including Australia (Optus Sports is a sports channel under the Australian IPTV service provider, Optus), Germany (Sportdigital), Hong Kong (TVB) and Malaysia & Brunei (ASTRO) with more territories still in negotiation. Besides TV broadcast, online content platforms such as Copa90 (UK) and Laola.tv (Austria) will carry out live streaming services across Europe and rest of the world, excluding Korea," said the K League on 07/05/2020.
