Portugal: Matchday 25 of Liga NOS "set to resume on 04/06/2020" (Liga Portugal)

"In order to ensure that stadiums are stringently supervised and that medical tests are carried out on all professionals involved in the games and in their organisation, Matchweek 25 of Liga NOS is set to resume on 04/06/2020," announced Liga Portugal on 12/05/2020.

"It is anticipated that this joint work of DGH (Directorate-General of Health), FPF and Liga Portugal will serve as a pattern for the resumption of other economic activities, with the intention that this professional competition will provide an example of the good practices that this pandemic imposed on us," explained the Portuguese league.

The Portuguese government listed Liga NOS as one of the activities authorised in the context of deconfinement on 30/04/2020. The Directorate-General of Health published technical advice on the conditions for the restart of the championship on 10/05/2020.

Liga Nos and LigaPro were suspended on 13/03/2020 due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic which has claimed the lives of 1,175 in Portugal as of 13/05/2020.
