Wilson Sporting Goods Co, an American equipment manufacturer belonging to the Finnish group Amer Sports, will become the "official game ball" supplier of the National Basketball Association from the 2021-22 season, for the 75th anniversary of the NBA, according to the North American league on 13/05/2020.

The multi-year agreement also covers the NBA G League (minor league), the NBA 2K League (eSports), Basketball Africa League (BAL) and the WNBA, for which the partnership will begin in 2022-23. Wilson is also the supplier of basketballs to the NCAA (American University Basketball League) for the 2002-2021 period.

Wilson was the first equipment manufacturer to make basketballs for the NBA in 1946, a partnership that lasted 37 years. In 1983, Wilson was succeeded by the American brand Spalding, also based in Chicago (Illinois, USA). A partnership that will come to an end after 38 years.
