Bundesliga restart: "An audience of billions all over the world" (K-H. Rummenigge, FC Bayern Munich)

"The Bundesliga is now the first major league in the world to resume playing. And if the Bundesliga is the only league around the world to be broadcast on TV, then I assume that we will have an audience of billions all over the world," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of the executive board at FC Bayern Munich, to the German newspaper Sport Bild on 13/05/2020.

Five matches (behind closed doors), including the Ruhr derby between Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 (Gelsenkirchen), scheduled for Saturday 16/05/2020 with kick-off at 15.30 CET, will be the first Bundesliga (and major European) matches to be played since the suspension following the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, according to the DFL on 07/05/2020. The other four games on Matchday 26 (see below), which was the first in March to be postponed, will take place on Saturday 16 (1 match), Sunday 17 (2) and Monday 18/05/2020 (1).
