Bundesliga: DAZN to broadcast match on Monday 18/05/2020, discussions for the following matches

The OTT platform DAZN has reached an agreement with the DFL for the broadcasting, in Germany, of the Bundesliga's Matchday 26 game between SV Werder Bremen and Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Monday 18/05/2020 (kick-off at 20:30 CET), while "talks are still in progress for the following matches", announced the German Football League on 17/05/2020.

DAZN had sublicensed, from Eurosport, the broadcasting rights to 40 games per season (either Friday at 20:30, Sunday at 13:30  or Monday at 20:30) of the Bundesliga for the last two seasons of the 2017-2021 cycle, on 18/07/2019. Eurosport terminated its contract with the DFL during the lockdown period in Germany, while the Bundesliga is the first European Top 5 league to resume competition on 16/05/2020 after two months of suspension.

"I very much regret the behavior of Eurosport, I find it indecent that you cancel a contract in a crisis and I think that means a huge loss of image for Eurosport.
