Premier League: Kelme replaces adidas as kit supplier to Watford FC for 4 seasons (2020-2024)

Kelme, the Spanish brand which now belongs to the Chinese group Yuanxiang since 2018, has become the equipment supplier of Watford FC (Premier League) from 2020-21 and for four seasons (2020-2024), announced the English club on 15/05/2020. Kelme will therefore be present in the Premier League for the first time in its history. "The Hornets’ kits will be available in up to 180 Kelme-branded stores in China and Spain," said Watford FC.

"This agreement is the largest in the club’s history and enables us to benefit from Kelme’s flexibility and bespoke design process. Kelme will produce the club’s kits and trainingwear for the men’s and ladies’ first-team squads and all Academy levels, as well as being responsible for an exciting range of technical products that will be featured in the Hornets’ retail stores," said the English club.

The annual amount would be £2.5m (€2.8m) according to British media, or 2.3 times more than what adidas paid for the 2017-2020 cycle (£750,000, or €895,000 at the date of signing of 06/12/2016). adidas had succeeded the Canadian brand Dryworld, which had…
