Ligue 1: AS Monaco to play in Copa Euroamericana in Colombia and United States in July 2014

AS Monaco (Ligue 1) will participate in the Copa Euroamericana 2014 pre-season tournament organised by the American satellite-TV operator, DirecTV, which will take place in eight cities in Latin America and the United States in July 2014.

The Monegasque club will play two matches against Atlético Junior (COL) in Barranquilla (COL) on 20/07/2014 and against Atlético Nacional (COL) in Miami (USA), on 23/07/2014.

"This tournament is part of our ambition to become a global player and attract fans from around the world," said Vadim Vasilyev, vice-president of AS Monaco on 28/04/2014.

All Copa Euroamericana matches will be broadcast on DirecTV Sports, the DirecTV channel exclusively dedicated to sports coverage in the territories where the channel is available.

• During the Copa Euroamericana, AS Monaco will face two Colombian clubs. Two of the club's players, Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, are Colombian.
