Covid-19: Bayern, Inter and Real Madrid will face off in 2021 for the European Solidarity Cup

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) presented the "European Solidarity Cup - Football for Heroes", a three-match tournament which will take place in 2021 and whose the proceeds will be donated to medical infrastructures in Spain and Italy, announced the three clubs on 19/05/2020.

"Depending on the match calendar, and also depending on when football can be played in front of spectators again, the three teams will play against each other in 2021 in a round-robin group, with one match played in each city - Milan (Inter vs. Bayern), Madrid (Real vs. Inter), and Munich (Bayern vs. Real). The three clubs want to send a message of solidarity and use the proceeds to support medical infrastructures," they said.

"Healthcare staff who continue to fight the pandemic will be represented at all of the games. The three clubs wish to demonstrate to these heroes all of our solidarity, respect and gratitude,"  added Real Madrid.
