2019-20 European championships: 4 ended, 12 restarts confirmed and 14 pending (European Leagues)

France, Belgium, Netherlands and Scotland are the four countries that have opted for a permanent stop to their 2019-20 professional football championships, indicated European Leagues who takes stock, country by country, of the situation on 20/05/2020 (see document to download).

Of the 12 countries that decided, conversely, to bring the season to a finish, only Germany has already resumed playing games: the first post-lockdown matches of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga were held behind closed doors on 16/05/2020.

At the European Top 5 Leagues level, apart from France which has ended their season, and Germany, which has already resumed play, the other three countries, England (Premier League), Spain (LaLiga Santander) and Italy (Serie A TIM ), await the green light from political authorities - as do 11 other nations listed by the association of European Leagues - to schedule the resumption of the 2019-20 championships.
