Bundesliga: Rewe (retail and distribution) extends as shirt sponsor of 1. FC Köln until 2021-22

Rewe, a German retail group, has extended as the main shirt sponsor of 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) for an additional season, until 2021-22, the German club announced on 22/05/2020. Rewe, whose headquarters are located in Cologne, enjoys the status of main partner (first level) of the German club.

Rewe, the main shirt sponsor of FC Köln since 2007-08, pays the club an annual amount estimated at €7m over the 2018-2021 period (agreement of 06/09/2017). This sum virtually places FC Köln 8^th among the 2019-20 Bundesliga clubs in main shirt sponsorship revenue. Rewe has also been the main shirt sponsor of the German club's eSports section since 07/03/2020.

"The extension ahead of time for our co-operation in what is a tough time for all of society is a strong signal, one which we’re very pleased about." said Alexander Wehrle, managing director of FC Köln.
