Liverpool FC: Nike-New Balance agreement for New Balance to equip the club until the end of 2019-20

The American equipment suppliers Nike and New Balance have signed an agreement to keep New Balance as the equipment supplier for Liverpool FC (Premier League) until the end of 2019-20 season, despite the fact that competition could resume outside of contractual deadlines, according to British media on 21/05/2020.

Initially, the agreement between New Balance and Liverpool should end on 31/05/2020, while the contract with Nike would start on 01/06/2020. This agreement between the two brands should make it possible, if the competition restarts, to see Liverpool FC crowned 2019-20 Premier League Champion with a New Balance outfit - the club is 25 points ahead of the second place Manchester City FC (one less game player) in the table, nine matchdays before the end of the championship.

Nike became the supplier of Liverpool FC for 2020-2025 on 07/01/2020 (see details below). The Premier League is currently working on a “Restart” project which would aim to return to competition on 12/06/2020 behind closed doors (92 matches remain to be played).
