Bologna FC 1909: agreement with Credito Sportivo to finance the renovation of the Stadio Dall'Ara

Bologna Stadio, a company created by Bologna FC 1909 (Serie A TIM) and the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, an Italian public investment bank dedicated to the financing of sports and cultural infrastructures, have signed an agreement for the financing of the renovation of the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara (29,500 capacity), announced the Bologna club (Emilia-Romagna, ITA) on 23/05/2020.

Bologna FC had presented a financing plan for the modernization project of the enclosure of which it is the resident club, on 25/01/2019. The budget for the renovation work was then estimated at €70m: €30m at the expense of the City of Bologna (ITA), the owner of the stadium, and €40m at the club's expense. The project should, in the end, cost more around €100m according to Italian media, with Bologna FC paying the difference. The loan taken out by the latter with the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo could therefore reach €70m.
