Real Valladolid: negotiations in progress for a capital entry into Carramimbre CBCV (basketball)

"Real Valladolid CF (LaLiga Santander) and Carramimbre CBC Valladolid (Spanish basketball second division) have reached an agreement in principle for the collaboration of the two entities," they announced on 23/05/2020.

This merger of the two clubs of the city of Valladolid (located less than 200 km north of Madrid, ESP) aims to study the conditions for entry of Real Valladolid into the capital of Carramimbre CBCV as majority shareholder. The basketball club, leader of LEB Oro (second division) at the time of the suspension of competitions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic and designated champion on 25/05/2020, has not yet validated its promotion to the first division due ongoing discussions between the various Spanish authorities on the competition format to be adopted for the Liga Endesa 2020-21 season.
