Robin Osterley appointed chief executive of Supporters Direct Europe

Robin Osterley became the chief executive of Supporters Direct Europe on 29/04/2014. Supporters Direct is the pan-European network that structures popular shareholding initiatives.

Since 1996 Osterley had served as chief executive of Making Music, a British organisation that promotes the interests of music organisations. He notably implemented significant lobbying campaigns on music licensing.

"For this appointment we have looked beyond the world of football and sport in general to find someone with the skills and experience to drive forward Supporters Direct from the strong platform we already have. The opportunities and the challenges are considerable and the organisation will benefit from having a leader of Robin’s calibre," said Brian Burgess, chairman of Supporters Direct Europe.
