Death of George Floyd: sports equipment manufacturers demand justice

Nike has posted a video on its social networks on 29/05/2020 entitled "For Once, Don't Do It", which states "For once, don't do it. Don't pretend there’s not a problem in America" in response to the death of George Floyd, the 46-year-old African-American who died from suffocation during his arrest by police in Minneapolis (Minnesota), on 25/05/2020.

"Don't think this doesn't affect you. Don't sit back and be silent. Don't think you can't be part of the change. Let's all be part of the change," said Nike, which also launched the hashtag #UntilWeAllWin and shared the video "across all of the brand's social media channels including its owned-brands Converse and Air Jordan."

This video has been covered many times by the media, but also by brands such as Brooks Running and adidas. "Together, we are moving forward. Together we are making a difference," said the German equipment manufacturer on 29/05/2020.
