NBA: resumption of the 2019-20 season at Disney World (Orlando, USA) on 31/07/2020 with 22 teams

The National Basketball Association announced, on 04/06/2020, that they wish to resume the 2019-20 season on the campus of the Walt Disney World Resort amusement park in Orlando (Florida, USA) from 31/07/2020. The NBA has been suspended since 11/03/2020, after the player Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz) tested positive for Covid-19.

The restart of the season remains dependent on the signing of a final agreement between the League and The Walt Disney Company to use the Walt Disney World Resort park as a single site for all games, training and accommodation for franchises for the rest of the 2019-20 season.

Thus, the 22 franchises still in the running for qualification for the play-offs (final phase) would be united at the ESPN Wide World Of Sports complex at the park in Orlando, where each would play eight classification (seeding) games in order to be able to determine the eight qualified from each conference (East and West).
