NBA: OTT platform Megogo acquires broadcasting rights for Russia (2020-2023)

The OTT platform Megogo has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights in Russia to the NBA for the 2020-2023 cycle on 03/06/2020.

Megogo succeeds the pay-TV operator Viasat and will broadcast the NBA from the 2020-21 season. The North American league is scheduled to begin on 01/12/2020 while a resumption of the 2019-20 season is scheduled on 31/07/2020 featuring 22 of the 30 franchises (see below).

Launched in 2011, Megogo is also present in Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and Kazakhstan. The company notably holds the broadcasting rights in Ukraine to LaLiga Santander, Ligue 1 Conforama, Serie A TIM and the Bundesliga.
