LFP: 15 million followers on social networks, 45% of which are international

"The LFP is continuing its development and at the end of May (2020) recorded more than 15 million followers on its social networks, three times more than in 2016," announced the French Professional Football League on 08/06/2020.

"The strongest growth was on Facebook with a total of 6.3 million followers (+34% vs August 2019), Instagram with a total of 2.5 million followers (+38% vs August 2019) and TikTok. Launched in November 2019 and popular in recent weeks during the lockdown, the Ligue 1 Conforama TikTok account passed the one million followers mark at the beginning of May after just seven months of existence," added the LFP, whose renewal of its digital ecosystem was also reflected in the launch of four new websites on 30/01/2020 (see below).

"In parallel with this growth, the audience on social networks has also become considerably more international. Less than 10% in 2016, the international audience now represents 45% of followers.
