Lagardère Unlimited and BWA create a joint venture, LUArenas, to operate stadiums in Brazil

Lagardère Unlimited, the sports and entertainment branch of the Lagardère Group, and BWA, a Brazilian company specialised in ticketing and access points, are creating a joint venture named LUArenas to operate stadiums in Brazil, they announced on 24/04/2014.

LUArenas will manage the Arena Castelão in Fortaleza, one of the 12 stadiums in the 2014 World Cup, as well as the Arena Independência in Belo Horizonte, home to Atletico Mineiro, the winner of Copa Libertadores in 2013. Aymeric Magne will run the Brazilian operations of Lagardère Unlimited. The group is already present in the country for the sale of media rights, through its subsidiary LU Brésil.

Lagardère Unlimited is expanding its international portfolio of stadiums under contract. The group obtained the management of the stadium Florian-Albert in Budapest (Hungary), home to Ferencvaros, on 24/04/2014.
