Sponsorship: Ada Hegerberg (NOR, Olympique Lyonnais) joins Nike from Puma for 10 years (€1m/year)

Nike has become the new partner and equipment supplier for Norwegian footballer Ada Hegerberg (Olympique Lyonnais, D1 Arkema), announced the player on her social networks on 08/06/2020. Ada Hegerberg, the first women's Ballon d'Or winner in history (in 2018), is represented by the agency A&V Sports.

"The value of the partnership has not been communicated but it would be estimated at €1m, according to a source close to the player," indicated the French media, while the contract will be for a minimum period of 10 years. This is a record partnership for women's football.

"It is yet another massive step in my career. Nike and I have common goals to elevate women's sports in the years to come. My performances brought me here, and I sure want to keep writing history with the help of Nike, on and off the field," the 24-year-old told beIN Sports.

Nike succeeds Puma, which has been supplying Ada Hegerberg since 2014. The Norwegian international is also under contract with Hublot (watchmakers), Mastercard (payment solutions) and the Danone Nations Cup (children's football tournament).
