RCD Espanyol de Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has decided to "redefine its strategic business objectives in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Developing sponsorships, generating new support and offering alternative visibility are among the measures adopted," announced the Barcelona (Catalonia, ESP) club on 04/06/2020.

RCD Espanyol expects a drop in revenue due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has claimed more than 27,000 lives in Spain, the sixth most affected country in the world as of 09/06/2020, and has interrupted the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season for over three months. "The decision-making focus is now on adapting to the decrease in revenue, thus prioritising projects that allow the club to secure its future and continue growing in a sustainable manner," said the club.
