LaLiga Santander: Acronis (cyber security) becomes a partner of Club Atlético de Madrid

Acronis, a Swiss company specialised in computer storage and data protection, has become an official partner of Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) in order to help the club "protect sensitive data and optimize business operations," announced the Spanish club on 09/06/2020.

As part of the agreement Acronis "will provide multiple services and solutions to prevent data loss and mitigate risk," said Atlético, who announced the agreement during a video call that was attended by the club's Uruguayan defender José María Giménez.

"Sport, and particularly football, has for years relied heavily on technological advances. The clubs are committed to ensuring that the experience in the stadiums is also backed by connectivity, always respecting the leading role of sport. We have a new stadium where sensorization and data generation are pillars of our transformation plan. Acronis offers us the security of having our data protected from any threat," said René Abril, technology and digital development director at Club Atlético de Madrid.
