Italy: "PT + (MPc x NPc) + (MPt x NPt)", FIGC's algorithm in case of a premature end to the season

If the 2019-20 Serie A TIM (or Serie BKT), which restarts on Saturday 20/06/2020 (124 matches remain to be played, see below), were to be interrupted again due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, making it impossible for the Italian championship to be completed by the 20/08/2020 deadline, either playoffs and playouts would be organised to determine the European teams and the relegated teams (in case of an interruption before 10/07/2020), or an algorithm established by the FIGC would determine the final ranking.

These principles proposed by Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Federation, were adopted by a large majority (18 votes for, 3 against) by the FIGC Federal Council on 08/06/2020.

The algorithm used, PT + (MPc x NPc) + (MPt x NPt), is based on the points already acquired (PT = punti totali/total points), to which is added, for unplayed matches, an extrapolation from the results obtained at home and away:
