RCD Mallorca: Estadi de Son Moix stadium renamed "Visit Mallorca Estadi" to revive local tourism

The Estadi de Son Moix (23,142 capacity), home to RCD Mallorca (LaLiga Santander), will be renamed as the "Visit Mallorca Estadi" until 30/06/2021, in order to promote the island of Mallorca (ESP) internationally and limit the effects of the Covid-19 crisis on local tourism, according to the Spanish club on 10/06/2020.

"The club understands it must pursue new initiatives in order to remedy the local community in which it exists. Within this very context, RCD Mallorca believes it is among the many institutes responsible for the economic and social rehabilitation of our island and therefore selflessly cedes its most significant commercial asset: the naming rights of the stadium," said RCD Mallorca.

"Visit Mallorca Estadi is more than just a name: we want it to be an example of work and common effort towards the recovery of our island," explained the Balearic club. The first match to be played at the newly renamed stadium will be the versus FC Barcelona (Matchday 28 of the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander) on Saturday 13/06/2020 at 22:00 CET.
