LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (June 2020)

The 20 clubs competing in the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season have more than 510 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2019. This total makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular European Top 5 league on all three social networks, behind the Premier League, with an average of 25.5 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with over 233 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 222 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 28 million.

Club Deportivo Leganés was the club which experienced the best percentage growth on Instagram (+5.7%), Real Betis Balompié on Facebook (+1%) and Getafe CF on Twitter (+0.5%).

On Instagram, Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value among the clubs of the European Top 5 in May 2020 (+871,483 followers), ahead of FC Barcelona (+770,124 followers) and Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +625,568).

Real Betis, Real Valladolid and CD Leganés are the only three clubs not to have lost fans in May 2020
