Sport Index study: TV rights market will decline according to 52% of the professionals questioned

The TV rights market in France will decline over the next 12 to 24 months, according to 52.3% of professionals in the sports, media, communication and sponsorship sector who responded to the Sport Index study (from 01 to 11/06/2020), the results of which were published on 12/06/2020. In contrast, 10.4% of the 472 respondents believe that this market will grow, while 32% believe that it will remain stable.

According to 53% of the professionals surveyed, GAFANs will be the major players in the next calls for tenders for the broadcasting rights to sports competitions.

The premature end of the 2019-20 Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 seasons was not approved by 46% of those questioned and approved by 43.9%.
