Premier League: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (June 2020)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2019-20 Premier League season have nearly 512 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/06/2019. This total has enabled the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular Top 5 European league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of 25.6 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with nearly 131 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, with 84 million and Liverpool FC, with 77 million. Liverpool FC, currently leading the Premier League, was the club which posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of May 2020 with 579,231 additional fans, 73% of which were on Instagram.

Sheffield United FC posted the best percentage growth on Instagram (+6.3%), Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on Facebook (+2.0%) and Newcastle United FC on Twitter (+1.3%) among the Premier League clubs during May 2020.
