LaLiga Santander: a shirt in tribute to CA Osasuna socios over 65, with their names inscribed inside

Club Atletico Osasuna (LaLiga Santander) players wore a shirt bearing the names of all the club's socios over 65 years of age to pay tribute to the elderly, the age group most affected by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, during the club's away match versus Real Sociedad de Futbol (1-1, Matchday 28) on 13/06/2020.

The game was the first played by CA Osasuna as part of the resumption of the 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season, after a three-month suspension due to the pandemic, which has claimed more than 27,000 lives in Spain as of 17/06/2020. Featured on the front of the special shirts worn by the club's players during their warm-up was '#SiempreConNosotros #BetiGurekin' (#AlwaysWithYou, written in Spanish and Basque).

"Through this initiative, Osasuna's board of directors wishes to keep alive the memory of its socios and former football players who died in 2020. The club will add their names to the back of a shirt that will be on display at the Estadio El Sadar as a tribute to the club members who died in a year marked by the tragedy of the Covid-19 pandemic," said the club.
