Financial Fair Play: "temporary emergency measures" adopted by UEFA executive committee

"Providing flexibility while ensuring that clubs continue to fulfil their transfer and salary obligations on time" and "giving clubs more time to quantify and account for unanticipated loss of revenues" are part of the "temporary emergency measures" adopted by the UEFA executive committee during the second part of a video-conference which began on 17/06/2020 and continued on 18/06/2020.

Developed "to take into account the adverse effect of Covid-19 on the finances of clubs" the measures (document available to download) "were unanimously supported by all stakeholders within the UEFA Emergency Working Group on Legal, Regulatory and Financial matters which comprises representatives of UEFA, the ECA, European Leagues and FIFPRO Europe," explained the European body.

• The draw procedure for the 2021-22 European Qualifiers has been approved - subject to final confirmation by FIFA - and will see 10 groups (five groups of six and five groups of five) play each other over two legs.
