United Kingdom: Twitch (Amazon) to co-broadcast four 2019-20 Premier League end-of-season matches

Twitch, a streaming platform specialised in video games, will co-broadcast with Prime Video in the United Kingdom, the four 2019-20 Premier League end-of-season matches (behind closed doors) for which the rights are held by the parent company Amazon, announced the US e-commerce group on 18/06/2020.

Amazon had previously announced that it would broadcast these games for free on its Prime Video platform, on 03/06/2020. Crystal Palace FC - Burnley FC, will be the first of the four matches, co-broadcast on Prime Video and Twitch on 29/06/2020. The Premier League season resumed on 17/06/2020 after a three-month hiatus.

Like Sky Sports and BT Sport, Amazon has announced that it will collaborate with EA Sports (publisher of the FIFA 20 video game) to offer a recorded stadium sound atmosphere.
