The Italian public broadcaster Rai acquired broadcast rights for the Italian national team in the Euro 2016 qualifying rounds (France, 10/06 to 10/07/2016) and in the World Cup 2018 (Russia), UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) announced on 28/04/2014.

The Italian qualifying matches will be broadcast live on the free channel Rai Uno, and highlights from the other qualifying matches will be broadcast the same evening on the free channels Rai Sport 1 and 2.

Rai acquired the rights, valid for all distribution platforms, through Eleven CAA, the agency that manages and markets media rights for national teams' competitions organised by UEFA, such as the Euro and Europe zone qualifiers for the World Cup.

  • Rai holds the rights to 25 of the 64 matches of the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014), including all Italian matches, the opening match, four rounds of 16, two quarterfinals, both semifinals and the final.
  • 64 matches will be broadcast by the pay-TV broadcaster Sky Italia.
