Belgium: €378.5m in cumulative revenue for Pro League clubs (1st divisions A+B) in 2018-19 (+18%)

The 23 Pro League clubs (16 from Jupiler Pro League/first division A and 7 from Proximus League/first division B) have generated revenues of €378.5m in 2018-19, for an average of €23.6m per club, according to the third edition of a report titled "The socio-economic impact of the Pro League on the Belgian economy", produced by the audit and consultancy firm Deloitte and published by the Belgian League on 03/06/2020.

Cumulative revenues for Belgian professional clubs increased by 18% between the 2017-18 season (€321m) and 2018-19. According to the report, all traditional sources of revenue - ticketing, sponsorship and advertising, TV rights, commercial revenues and even the more volatile UEFA revenues - grew significantly. TV rights increased to €84.3m and accounted for 22% of total revenues. These revenues amounted to €80.9m for the 2017-18 season. Sponsorship revenues amounted to €76.2m, compared with €68.2m the previous season.
