Borussia Dortmund: summer tour planned in Asia in August 2020 will now be virtual

"Owing to the need to act responsibly yet also be there for the club's international fans, Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) is planning a 'BVB Virtual Asia Tour' for the Covid-19 era" a virtual tour of Asia that will pass through Shanghai (CHN), Singapore and Tokyo (JPN) in August 2020, announced the German club on 23/06/2020.

Borussia Dortmund, who had originally planned to travel physically to Asia in the summer of 2020, will now be offering their fans virtual matches with the players, as well as events for them to watch live training sessions or friendly matches from a distance. Events involving former club players, mascot Emma and the BVB Evonik Soccer Academy will also be organised, "insofar as the currently applicable Coronavirus protection measures allow for it."
