LaLiga Santander: RCD Espanyol presents a protocol to welcome 13,000 spectators at the RCDE Stadium

"RCD Espanyol (LaLiga Santander) has presented the protocol to allow the public to return to stadiums to the competent authorities. The club believes that, with the proposed measures, it is completely safe to attend a football stadium. Almost 13,000 spectators could attend the games, with the possibility of increasing to full capacity in a few weeks," announced the Catalan club on 19/06/2020.

The protocol, which would make it possible to accommodate 13,000 people at the RCDE Stadium, approximately a third of the total capacity of the stadium (40,000), was sent by the Barcelona club to the Government of Catalonia, the Government Delegation in Catalonia, the CSD and LaLiga. The 2019-20 LaLiga Santander season resumed on 11/06/2020, after a three-month suspension due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, but all matches are scheduled to be played behind closed doors until the end of the season.
