Premier League: Quorn (mycoprotein), "sustainable protein partner" of Liverpool FC

Quorn, a British company specialised in meat substitutes based on mycoprotein (single-cell/fungal protein), has become the "sustainable protein partner" of Liverpool FC (Premier League) from 2019-20 as part of a "multi-year" agreement, announced the Merseyside club on 23/06/2020.

Quorn has the status of official partner, the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the 2018-19 Champions League winners. "Famous for working with Greggs (bakery chain) on its sell-out vegan sausage roll and now KFC's (fast food) vegan burger, Quorn will work in collaboration with the club to provide new opportunities for supporters to choose from vegetarian and vegan foods on matchdays, while also working with the club's nutrition team to extend choice of healthy protein amongst its playing staff," said the club.
