2.Bundesliga: Sportfive to manage marketing for FC Kaiserslautern until 2019-20

Sportfive has extended its contract to handle marketing for 1.FC Kaiserslautern (2.Bundesliga) until July 2020, the club announced on 03/05/2014. The parties have been under contract since 2004.

Sportfive Germany will handle the commercial rights, stadium display advertising, and shirt sponsorship, as well as the club's hospitality services.

Kaiserslautern are 4^th in 2.Bundesliga and within two points of 2^nd place (out of 18) with one matchday to go in the 2013-14 championship.

The Fritz-Walter Stadion

• 1.FC Kaiserslautern (2.Bundesliga) play in the Fritz-Walter Stadion (49,700 seats).
• The stadium was renovated in 2003 for €50m and was one of 12 stadiums in the 2006 World Cup.
• Average attendance in 2013-14: 30,400 spectators (62% of capacity).
• Operating costs in 2013-14: €10m, according to Stefan Kuntz, club CEO, on 30/03/2014.
