Formula 1/Mercedes: black "Silver Arrows" in 2020 to support the fight against racism

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has presented a black livery for 2020, abandoning for the whole 2020 season the traditional metallic grey for its "Silver Arrows", in order to join the fight against racism and discrimination, on 29/06/2020. According to the German constructor, the commitment aims to "further improve the diversity of our team and our sport".

The single-seaters (W11) driven by Valtteri Bottas (FIN) and six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (GBR) will also feature "End Racism" on the halo and the hashtag #WeRaceAsOne on the mirrors (a campaign launched by Formula One Group, see below). Both drivers will also race in a black jumpsuit for the 2020 season.
