James Rushton, chief revenue officer "responsible for the leadership and commercial performance of in-market teams" at DAZN Group, has succeeded Simon Denyer as the company's chief executive officer, announced the British media group on 30/06/2020.

James Rushton was the CEO of the OTT sports platform DAZN when it entered its first markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan) in August 2016. He was appointed Chief Revenue Officer of DAZN Group when the group was split into two brands in January 2019 (DAZN Group for the BtoC part and Perform Content for the BtoB part sold in July 2019 to the parent company of the sports data capture and analysis company STATS).

Simon Denyer, who has created and managed DAZN since its creation within the Perform Group, a company he founded in 2007, joins the American investment company Access Industries owned by Len Blavatnik, also owner of the DAZN Group. There he will act as an advisor for new companies in the sports sector.
