2019-20 Bundesliga audiences: an average 480,000 subscribers per match on Sky Deutschland (+1%)

265 of the 266 matches of the 2019-20 Bundesliga season broadcast on the pay TV channels of the TV operator Sky Deutschland, posted a cumulative audience of more than 127 million viewers, an average of nearly 480,000 subscribers per game (+1% vs 2018-19).

Audience figures for the other 40 Bundesliga matches (306 in total) broadcast by the OTT platform DAZN and then also by Amazon Prime Video (10 end-of-season matches behind closed doors, see related article) have not been communicated.

With an average of 1.17 million viewers per match, FC Bayern Munich (+7%) once again dominated the club audience rankings, still ahead of Borussia Dortmund (910,000; -1%) and FC Schalke 04 (630,000; -1%).

The 2019-20 season was marked by a two-month interruption of the championship and a resumption behind closed doors (on 16/05/2020), with nine matchdays remaining, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
