Forbes: Real Madrid highest-valued football club for 2012-13 (€2.47bn)

Real Madrid (Liga BBVA) were the highest-valued football club for 2012-13, according to the U.S. business magazine Forbes on 07/05/2014. The Spanish club, whose worth was valued at €2.47bn, had a turnover of €484m and a net profit of €123m for 2012-13.

The Madrid club was ahead of FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), which were worth €2.3bn, and Manchester United (Premier League), at €2.01bn. Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) ranked 15th at €298m, and had a turnover of €399.56m and net profit of €105m.

Real Madrid's worth was down 4% compared to 2011-12, according to Forbes; at €2.57bn, it was then the highest valued club in the world, of any sport.

Forbes calculates the financial value of football clubs based on TV rights, the value of teams' players, licensing, merchandising, ticketing, stadium services revenue, media income and stadium concessions.
