Serie A TIM: agreement between AS Roma and Nike to end in June 2021 rather than 2023-24

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) and its equipment supplier Nike have announced the early termination of their partnership at the end of 2020-21 on 16/07/2020. The contract with the American brand, which has been with the Italian club since 2014-15, was originally due to terminate at the end of 2023-24.

"The early termination of the commercial agreement will allow AS Roma to explore new opportunities in the equipment and licensing space," said Francesco Calvo, chief operating officer at AS Roma. In 2019-20, Nike is paying €4.1m to the Roman club.

"For the 2020-21 season, Roma and Nike have entered into a new agreement which will see Nike provide the club with all on-pitch, training and casual products for the first team, youth teams and women's teams," explained the club.
