2019-20 LaLiga Santander: Real Madrid CF claim their 34^th title as champions of Spain

Real Madrid CF have been crowned the 2019-20 Spanish champions after a 2-1 win over Villarreal CF at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano (6,000 capacity) on Matchday 37 of LaLiga Santander on Thursday 16/07/2020.

Real Madrid have 86 points with one matchday to go, 7 more than FC Barcelona (2^nd with 79 points) who can't catch up. The Madrid club succeeds Barça, winners of the previous two Spanish league titles.

The 2019-20 title is Real Madrid's 34^th league title, thus consolidating their position as the most successful club in Spain. FC Barcelona (26 titles) and Club Atlético de Madrid (10 titles) complete the podium.
