Fantasy league: Sorare raises €3.5m from investors and football player André Schürrle (GER)

Sorare, a French startup and developer of a blockchain enabled fantasy football platform, has raised $4m (€3.5m), announced the Paris-based company on 16/07/2020. "The investment will enable the company to significantly scale up its team" and "finalize licensing partnerships with five leagues and 150 clubs by year-end," said the startup and partner of Major League Soccer and the Pro League.

Sorare's second fund raiser (€500,000 from Kima Ventures in 2019) was led by e.ventures and supported by investors and various Business Angels (see list below), as well as by German international footballer André Schürrle (29), 2014 World Cup winner, who has been without a club (as of 17/07/2020) since the termination of his contract with Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) on 15/07/2020.
