IOC: Sebastian Coe (World Athletics) among the 5 new members of the International Olympic Committee

Maria de la Caridad Colón Rueñes (born 1958/Cuba), Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović (1968/Croatia, President of the Republic of Croatia from 2015 to 2020, present in Moscow during the final of the World Cup France - Croatia, 4-2, 15/07/2018), Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud (1975/Saudi Arabia), Battushig Batbold (1986/Mongolia) and Sebastian Coe, president of World Athletics (1956/Great Britain) are the five new members of the International Olympic Committee elected at the 136^th IOC Session on 17/07/2020.

The first four are individual members, the fifth (Sebastian Coe) is a member whose election is linked to a function within an International Federation, according to the Olympic body.

The 136^th IOC Session, the very first to be held by videoconference, also elected John D. Coates (AUS) and Ser Miang Ng (SIN) as vice-presidents, as well as Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski (PHI) and Gerardo Werthein (ARG) as members of the IOC executive board. Their term of office began at the end of the Session.
