Olympique de Marseille: 300,000 viewers watch the club's friendly on Twitch and OM.fr

300,000 people, including more than 110,000 simultaneously, watched Olympique de Marseille's (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) first preparatory match for the 2020-21 season versus FC Pinzgau (Austrian third division) (5-1) on the club's Twitch channel and official website (OM.fr) on Sunday 19/07/2020 (kick-off at 18:30), announced the Marseille (FRA) club on 20/07/2020.

266,000 people, including 100,000 simultaneously, watched the match via the streaming platform that specialises in video games and is a subsidiary of Amazon. It was the first time that Twitch broadcast a live match involving a Ligue 1 club.

The club had announced that it would broadcast its first two preparatory matches (the second will be versus SV Heimstetten, a German fourth division club, on Wednesday 22/07/2020 at 19:00) on its Twitch channel and official website on 16/07/2020.
