Borussia Dortmund: club launches official store on the Chinese e-commerce platform Tmall (Alibaba)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) have launched an official store on the e-commerce platform Tmall, belonging to the Chinese e-commerce group Alibaba, according to the club on 21/07/2020. The announcement comes ahead of the "BVB Virtual Asia Tour" a virtual tour of Asia that will pass through Shanghai (CHN), Singapore and Tokyo (JPN) in August 2020 (see below).

According to specialised media, the German club will celebrate the launch of its store on the "Tmall Fans Day" with a series of  activities including pop-up stores featuring club merchandise and a display of the club's 2020-21 kit at their flagship store in Shanghai (CHN). "We are determined that despite not being able to tour China physically, we will continue our full support to the country and be even more creative, and this approach will allow us new ways to connect with our dedicated and passionate fans," said Carsten Cramer, managing director and head of marketing at Borussia Dortmund.
