GG.bet ("GG" for "good game"), an online betting platform dedicated to sports betting and based in Curacao (an island in the Caribbean), has become a "global betting partner" of Electronic Sports League events from 2020, announced the ESL on 14/07/2020.

"GG.Bet will be the official global betting partner for all ESL One (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major Championships) and Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) tournaments in 2020, and ESL Pro League (professional league on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) seasons 11 and 12. The deal will see GG.Bet provide the odds for each tournament match and deliver a branded prediction segment during online broadcasts," said the esports events organiser.

The use of the platform remains subject to the regulations in force in each country. In France, esports betting is not allowed. No operator is therefore approved by the French National Gaming Authority (ANJ, formerly ARJEL) as of 23/07/2020. However, bookmakers can offer esports betting in certain European countries such as Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom.
