Serie A TIM: Emirates extends as AC Milan's main shirt sponsor for 2020-2023

Emirates, an Emirati airline company, has extended as a partner and main shirt sponsor of AC Milan (Serie A TIM) for an additional three seasons (2020-2023), announced the club on 27/07/2020. "The Emirates logo will remain on the front of shirts for the senior men's team, youth teams and for the Rossoneri Academy, which has been the case for the previous 10 years," said the club.

This new agreement now gives the Milanese club the opportunity to acquire additional sponsors for the shirt sleeve, training kits and women's team shirts from 2020-21. Emirates and AC Milan signed an exclusive agreement in 2010-11. Emirates has also been AC Milan's "Official Airline Partner" since 2007-08.

A new condition in the Emirates x AC Milan partnership notably explains the reduction in the yearly amount, which would drop from €14m to €10m from 2020-21, but which would allow the club to boost its sponsorship revenue by welcoming other shirt sponsors, including new sponsorship space for the women's team, training kit, and primary shirt sleeve areas, according to multiple transalpine media outlets…
