France: Mediapro-Altice agreements for distribution+co-broadcast of Euro cups in 2020-21 (Téléfoot)

The Chinese-Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro and the telecom and media group Altice France have announced the signing of two agreements on 27/07/2020: the first concerns the distribution of the future Téléfoot channel (Mediapro) in France by SFR over the 2020-2024 period, and the second for the co-broadcasting of all the 2020-21 matches of the Champions League and Europa League by Téléfoot, alongside the pay-TV package RMC Sport (subsidiary of Altice France).

Mediapro will pay €175m for the co-broadcasting rights agreement to the European cups for the 2020-21 season, according to L'Équipe (or 50% of the amount of the rights paid by Altice to UEFA). Regarding the distribution agreement, this is the first one signed by Mediapro in France.

"Subscribers will thus have access to an even richer single offer for €25.90 per month," indicated Mediapro.
